Globalization and the Persian Language (Applied study on "Ettela'at" newspaper in the years 2020/2021 AD in the light of Sociolinguistics)

Abstract

This research deals with the study of globalization and its impact on the Persian language, through the study of the language and its relationship to culture and identity, and the interaction of the Persian language with other languages, especially the English language. The research also deals with the study of globalization, its risks and the efforts of linguists and decision makers in facing them.
It also focuses on linguistic globalization in the Persian language, that issue or rather the phenomenon that appears to be close and open to the world, and breaking of borders, separations and distances between peoples. Its interior includes the threat of the identity of peoples and their elimination, and the warning of a new era of colonialism and domination or what we can call it Linguistic Alienation or Linguistic Westernization, and the imposition of linguistic, cultural, civilizational, political, economic and social dominance of the stronger states over the lesser ones.

This comes as an application to one of the most important official Iranian newspapers, which is Ettela'at newspaper in the years 2020-2021 AD in the light of sociolinguistics. The research concluded many results that came after monitoring the effects of globalization in the language of political, economic, sports, artistic, scientific, daily life and others.
