Abstract

This research aims to shed light on the port of Bandar al-Riq and provide a comprehensive overview of it. It is one of the most prosperous Gulf ports located on the eastern coast of the Arabian Gulf, which has become an important political and commercial center in the Persian Gulf.
The research also showed the importance of the port of "Bandar al-Riq", its geographical location, and its economics of exports and imports. His death caused several disturbances in the emirate; This is due to the competition for the emirate of "Bandar al-Riq", but the arrival of the Emir Commander Nasser bin Hamad al-Zaabi to the emirate of "Bandar al-Riq" led to the suppression of many of these problems; He was a wise man who was able to gather people around him, as he was able to confront the great powers that coveted his principality, such as Persia, Britain and Holland, but this did not last long.
The research has deepened in the mention of Prince Muhanna bin Nasser Al-Zaabi, the Arab prince who was able to make foreign powers at that time stand in fear and reverence for him. He maintained and even consolidated the Arabism of the region, and stopped the exploitation of its wealth. Then, the study concluded by mentioning how to eliminate Prince Muhanna bin Nasser Al Zaabi, who was a victim of the gathering of forces against him; That is because all the foreign powers: Persia, the British, the Dutch, and even the Ottomans also met and agreed to eliminate him and his Arab emirate and then annex it to Persia.
The research followed the "historical descriptive" method, and the most important results were:
That "Bandar al-Riq" is an Arab land since ancient times, and that the "Saleem bin Mansour" tribe, represented by the "Zaab" tribe, maintained the Arabness of the region for decades before its occupation with the planning of foreign powers and the support of Persia at the time. The research also reached other results that will be presented later, and presented Some recommendations.
