Abstract

This scientific paper presents the book "Semantic and Linguistic Concepts to DescribeThe Arabic Language" in the light of the Arabic linguistic approaches as a valuable book among the linguistic approaches; because it adopted Igor Melchuk's attachment theory as a main theoretical framework in presenting the book’s topics and Addressing its issues, and because it is a book that confronts the question of meaning in an attempt to provide an answer to it in the study of Arabic.
The paper came in two parts:
In the first of them, it presented a focused reading of the Arabic linguistic approaches in terms of their types and characteristics by relying on the knowledge backgrounds from which their authors started.
In the second section, the paper dealt with the book that is the subject of the study, according to certain determinants to present the content of the book, and to provide an analytical and critical reading about it.
