Iraqi Woman Between Cultural Heritage Typicality and Modern Constitutional Rights

Abstract

Aim of the Study:
To find out the relationship which governs the situation of Iraqi women between cultural heritage typicality and her constitutional rights.
Significance of the Study:
The study stems its significance fromthe fact that it establishes social upbringing in the minds of generations, as woman is considered unable to have her independent decision concerning marriage, or economic statue, whether in country  or city. Therefore she lives wondering between what cultural heritage dictates and what modern thoughts seek a better life and acquiring written constitutional rights. It should be noted that urban woman has liberated herself to a great extent out of many cultural heritage bonds, however, there are more to pass through.
The study discusses this subject in the light of the changes that are taking place currently in the Iraqi society and their impacts on both  rural and urban women.
Methodology of the Study:
The study analytical descriptive, by the use of known tools of research, such as field studies, and those dependent on personal interviews with informants as well as field assessments reflecting Iraqi woman's point of view in a central collective way.
The study, moreover, made use of quantitative data dependent on questionnaire and meeting in order to enhance qualitative data.
