Abstract

The Al-Ja’afira coast is a tourist area with a long history due to its geographical location and the goodness of its land and environment, due to its supervision of the Red Sea coast. This coast was called (Quoz al-Ja’fara) after the village of al-Quoz became the headquarters of the Quoz al-Ja’afra center after the new administrative division of the Sabya governorate. The truth is that its historical name is Mikhlaf found and later became Sahel al-Ja’afira, perhaps in the year 1000 AH.

And the coast of Al-Ja’afira - an ancient found area - is part of the Sulaymaniyah Al-Makhlaf, which was ruled by the sheikhs of his tribes, and the situation in it lacked security and stability; Because of the conflicts and wars that the region witnessed between its tribes on the one hand, and between greedy forces that sought to extend their influence or attempts to eliminate the influence of the Ottoman Empire in it on the other hand, taking advantage of the weakness and disintegration experienced by the region and its distance from the center of the Ottoman government, until Al-Idrisi arrived in the region and was able to From co-opting the tribes and attracting them to it by concluding peace treaties between them and those tribes and their rival forces.
