The problem of cultural identity and globalization in the contemporary Iraqi theater text

Abstract

The theatrical experience is a reflection of the world and its variables, and it is formed by building realistic or fictional perspectives based on the effectiveness of contact  and communication, considering that the text derives its existence and organic entity from many cultures and scenarios of A range of global and individual impacts and needs, especially the impact of globalization, which is the subject of the research, the theatrical text is an aesthetic and philosophical manifestation of many sociocultural issues. The two researchers sought to investigate the problem of cultural identity and the impact of globalization on society, especially the focus on the structure of the text. The two researchers therefore formulate the research problem with the following question: The problem of cultural identity and globalization in the contemporary Iraqi theatrical text. It  also includes its significance، objectives and limits. The descriptive method was chosen in the analysis of the research sample (Gate 7) by the Iraqi writer (Awatif Naeim) intentionally, due to the availability of descriptions in it that are compatible with the research problem and its objectives. The research included the results and conclusions، some of which are: 
1-      The scriptwriter played on globalization chord in building the structure of the work and its idea, through the meetings in the diversity of the characters’ nationalities, through citing references and the impacts  of the Arab Spring and revolutions. As well as the deep-seated role of globalization in human experience.

2-      The alienation of the local text identity in native societies, as globalization attempts to dissolve privacy and transition to public, and this is reflected in the structure of the text through general methods, i.e. (relative) versus (absolute). The text responds to the globalization of pluralism, amplification, and the absence of centralization of the text identity in light of the free flow of values in text society.
