The triple alliance war is a major international war that took place in south America between Paraguay and the triple alliance (Brazil , Argentina and Uruguay) which began in 1864 and ended in 1870 , this war of struggle from control of the Rio de la Plata region strategic and expansion ambitions of Paraguay president Solano Lopez and political interests of Brazil and Argentina in Uruguay which resulted in the killing of hundreds of thousands of Paraguay people after repeated military defeats ended with the death of Lopez and the end of the war.
