Abstract

E-newspapers play a vital role in informing people about important issues and events. This is particularly important when news is related to the head of state and to crucial issues such as the border demarcation agreement with Saudi Arabia.
The current study investigates the relationship between news coverage of the Tiran and Sanafir case in Egyptian e-newspapers and public opinion trends towards the performance of the media.     Using the survey methodology, and relying on the content analysis tools and the electronic questionnaire
The study concluded that there is a relationship between the respondents' assessment of the performance of the president in the case of Tiran and Sanafir as a dominant issue of the issue Regime and the evaluation of the performance of the president.
As well as there is impact of the news of  e-newspapers on the trends of public opinion towards the president, where there were differences between respondents following the news of the case of Tiran and Sanafir in the Egyptian e-newspapers and non-followers in their direction towards the performance of the president in the case.
