Ishtarān god one of the important gods in ancient Mesopotamia , and its role was Justice god, as the ancient Mesopotamian imagined at all Historical times from the beginning old Sumerian period till the new Assyrian kingdom.
And there is a lot of inscriptions related with ishtarān of kings such as : Miselam, Entmena, lugal zagizi ,Gudea,Šulgy , aššur aḫa iddin …etc.
Gudea who was dedicated to ishtarān a great shrine in Ningirsu temple at lagash ( girsu).
