The Role of Social Networks in Political Mobilization Afield Study on A young People in Egyptian Society

Abstract

   The study aimed to analyze the role of social networks in the political mobilization of young people in Egyptian society by revealing the most important motivations of youth to use social networking networks, and highlighting the most important political issues that concern their interests through these networks. These networks, in addition to their impact on the issues of political mobilization, and determine the aspirations of young people to the future of political mobilization across these networks. The researcher used the analytical descriptive approach to achieve the objectives of the study, based on the interview manual as a tool designed by the researcher to collect the data. The tool was applied to two random samples of (30) young people from the social networks in Kafr El-Sheikh University,( 10) vocabulary of experts from the people of specialization in the field of computer and communications and social and political sciences.
   The results of the study showed that the access to news and information was the most motivated among the youth because it provides reliability in the free and unrestricted transmission of news and information. It also showed the ability of the networks to increase freedom of political expression, participation, political mobilization, It has a great ability to mobilize young people, and mobilize local and regional public opinion on political issues. It also showed its ability as an important influence in the formation and guidance of young people politically, and the involvement of young people in political parties. It also showed that the best social networks "Facebook" Facebook, also showed the extent of young people to the development and progress of society politically by using Facebook in the process of mobilization and voting in the upcoming elections.
