The study attempts to address the issue of the effect of urban capitalism on increasing the ecology of fear rates in both the squatter areas and compounds in Cairo. It used the sample social survey methodology with the two tools of questionnaire and interview. The study sample consisted of those who are interested in studying squatter areas, urban problems and urban cities through a purposive sample which included 29 items. The researcher has emphasized the majority of the study hypotheses in terms of the existence of a negative relationship between urban capitalism and the increase of the ecology of fear in the squatter areas and compounds in Cairo.
