Abstract

The study deals with the port of Duqm in the Sultanate of Oman. It is considered one of the important ports on the map of international ports. It is distinguished by its strategic location overlooking the Arabian Sea. It is close to the international shipping lines linking the east and the west. In addition to its importance to the other ports in the Sultanate. The port also serves the maritime transport system between the ports of the Sultanate and supports the movement of goods and industrial and tourism activities between the port of Sultan Qaboos in Muscat and Salalah Port Far and Sohar Port in the Al Batinah area. The port is also becoming increasingly important for the dry dock to repair vessels within the port facilities, enabling it to accommodate large ships and giant vessels to provide maintenance and repair services within the port.
