Abstract

Conditional sentence is a commonly used  type of non-informative sentences, notably in the sacred scriptures such as the Holy Quran or the Holy Bible  . We notice that the Divine speech, in several situations, focuses on the conditional sentences when addressing people for the worldly life and hereafter, in return for the destined reward by Allah , the Majestic, the Exalted  Arabic, Syriac, and Hebrew languages use  corresponding and sometimes different forms of conditional sentences for the main part and the if part  (the conditional part)  . In this study, several similar  linguistic forms in the linguistic structure of  Arabic, Syriac, and Hebrew languages and in conditional part  and main clause sentences have been identified. This in fact confirms that these Semitic languages have common linguistic roots   similar  in several morphological and grammatical aspects. As for the articles used with the conditional sentences  in these languages we have identified through comparison  that they use similar  conditional articles in the traditional conditional style with Arabic tendency to use  non- traditional conditional articles more than these languages
