Youth use of social networking sites and the verified reports of them Empirical Study

Abstract

This study sought to identify the Kuwaiti youth's use of social media, the motives for their use of them, and the satisfaction that they achieve through them, while examining a number of demographic variables and their relationship to the intensity of exposure, and this study belonged to descriptive studies.
To achieve its objectives, the current study relied on a descriptive approach to describe the Kuwaiti youth’s use of social media sites and the various verified and analyzed reports. The uses were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively in the field, and their relationship to some variables.

The study sample included (420) individual students from Kuwait University, the number of males was (176) at a rate of 41.9% and the number of females (244) at a rate of 58.1%. (Questionnaire) as the main tool for collecting information from respondents.
