Abstract

This research deals with the position off al- Muhanna princes in Buraidah in the conflict between the Second Saudi State and Muhammad bin Rashid (1280 AH / 1863 AD 1891 AD). Imam Faisal bin Turki, in 1280 AH / 1863, appointed Muhanna bin Saleh al-Abkhail as Emir of Buraidah. His family was killed by Abu Alayyan's former princes. However, his son Hasan recovered the emirate quickly. The Abu Alayyan family went to Imam Abdullah bin Faisal and stood with them, forcing Hassan Al-Muhanna to join the ranks of Mohammed bin Rashid, Amir of Mount Shamar, The second Saudi state enabled him to establish his rule in Najd. However, the difference between the al- Muhanna and Mohammed bin Rashid forced them to return to the ranks of the second Saudi state.
The importance of this topic is that the al- Muhanna family played a major role in the conflict between the second Saudi state and Mohammed bin Rashid. The role of the al-Muhanna  princes in the struggle between the second Saudi state and Mohammed bin Rashid will be highlighted. Economic and strategic in Najd in the era of the second Saudi state, and to know the role and objectives of al-Muhanna princes in the conflict between the second Saudi state and Mohammed bin Rashid.
