The study aimed to demonstrate the relationship of agreement and difference between the semantics and the linguistic pragmatism, by presenting a brief presentation of their concepts in language and their fields and exposing the problems of defining the concept. The study concluded by enumerating the most prominent differences between semantics and pragmatism, which center around that semantics is a branch of theoretical linguistics, while deliberativeness falls under the framework of applied linguistics.
