Abstract

The paper is concerned with the methodological study of directing meaning in Ibn Alatheer Al Halabi’s Book Jawhar Alkanz across the rhetorical equivalences through repeating the arguments about the concept of meaning by shedding more lights on him by following a contemporary stylistic study. The analysis is based on the apostasy of Arab rhetorical thinking bring it back to its origins in his book ‘Jawhar AlKanz’ by a modern and contemporary reading. In the light of these perspectives, the paper focuses on the following aspects: 1. introduction 2. Ibn Alatheer Alhalbi’s Biography 3. Definition of equivalences in language. 4. Types of rhetorical equivalences according to Ibn Atheer Al Halabi which includes: a. Mentioning equivalences b. essay  equivalences   c. contextual equivalences d. Current equivalences.  Then the paper draws some conclusions based on the descriptive analytic approach
