Abstract

This study stems from the fact that the Arab family is exposed to the dangers of modern technology represented in electronic games and others, and this is what the study tries to search for the role of the family in protecting children from the risks of this modern technology. The research was applied to a regular random sample of 200 families who use modern technology tools (Internet - electronic games) through the computer, mobile or iPad. It was selected in a systematic random manner from the names of government and private schools in the center and city of Benha and Shebin El Qanater. And that from the Directorate of Education in Qalubia. An equal sample of students' families in primary schools (two private schools - two government schools) (100 members from families of special education children - 100 members of government education families) were selected in a systematic random way from student lists in schools (sample of the study) and that is in the period from March 2019 to the end of May of the same year.
The study found that there is a cultural invasion and the risks of technology on children, and despite the family’s attempts to preserve children, the impact of technology is stronger, which is what needs to present a set of relevant recommendations and proposals.
