A proposed envisioning curriculum for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers at Qassim University in light of their motives

Abstract

Teaching foreign languages, especially the Arabic language, witnesses a great development. Many countries, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is at the forefront of these countries, began to establish institutes and teaching units to attract and encourage students from all over the world to study in these institutes and units. One of these units is the Arabic Language Teaching Unit at Qassim University. The unit makes a great effort to introduce the best basic book that can help students learn the Arabic language effectively. As one of the educational trends is that educational materials should be prepared according to the needs and desires of students, I found it important to conduct this research on the students of the Arabic Language Teaching Unit to find out and know their motives and desires. By conducting this research we will be able to develop a perception of the Arabic language teaching curriculum that is appropriate for students, meets their needs and facilities learning the Arabic language.
