The effectiveness of a cognitive-behavioral counseling program in modifying the self-concept of delinquents in the city of Jeddah

Abstract

     The study aimed to identify and a sample of this study consisted of (40) males and females who had previously been placed in juvenile care institutions in the city of Jeddah and were divided into (4) groups consisting of (1) 10) individuals, two of which were experimental and underwent a program (cognitive behavioral) to modify the concept of self While the two control groups were not subject to any program. The study tool was applied to all the subjects of the study (self-concept scale) (tribal measurement) and then the extension program was applied to the members of the two experimental groups. After the program was completed, the study tool was reapplied to all the members of the study. The self in both groups experimented with no gender effect.
