Sharia took into account this wonderful composition of human creation. It did not deprive the Muslim of the common human customs (joy, pleasure and celebration). But it controlled, refined and directed it to what is consistent with the guidance of the true Islam, the purposes, values of the Supreme teachings and virtuous legislations. This study illustrates the concept of holidays and occasions in Islam and in different religions as Islam is a civilizational extension for all humanity.
The study classified holidays and occasions according to the concepts of habits, worship and their regulations to distinguish between what is of our religion or what takes the regulations of the origin and what is not of our religion and goes under the concept of false events and misguided innovation. The study classified the events into Islamic historical and general social events, leading to joint international events and occasions of specific religions. The study concluded that the distinction between types of events makes classification between permissibility and prohibition accessible and easy in accordance with the rules of habits and worship.
