Abstract

   The research means studying the emotional memory and the extent of its relationship to the performance of the theater actor through four chapters. The first included the methodological framework for the research through the research problem, the importance, its goal, its limitations, the definition of terms. As for the second chapter, it came on two topics that dealt with the first emotional memory and its characteristics, while the second included Engaged memory functions in the performance of the actor, and the criteria (indicators) of the theoretical framework of the research were fixed. In the third chapter (research procedures), the research community was determined, its sample, research method, research tool, and analysis of the play of oil slick play, then the results, conclusions and recommendations followed, And a list of sea sources And his review in the fourth chapter, and among the most prominent results that the researcher reached 2- The actor's skill was an important factor as the scenes with high emotion that mixed with his emotional memory were burning especially in the scene of the sister’s rape.
