Abstract

This research deals with the detection of the institutional dimensions of the quarantine  system for pilgrims in Egypt in the Red Sea ports of Egypt, In order to build a protective curtain to prevent the spread of epidemics to Egypt and Europe.
This study is based on four main axes. In the preface, quarantine operations in Egypt have developed since the beginning of the 19th century until the British occupation of Egypt in 1882.
In the first axis I studied the horizontal and vertical developments on the quarry in the city of Al-Tur after it was inaugurated as an international health site in 1893, In the second axis, I studied the technical processes of quarantine on pilgrims in Egyptian Red Sea ports, On the third axis, the researcher studied the legal regulations to organize the travel of Egyptian pilgrims to Mecca in order to provide health protection for them.
On the last axis, I studied the coordination between the Egyptian government, the British government and the Maritime Health Council to follow up on the health situation in the country on the pilgrimage route between India and the Hijaz, considering that India is the origin of the cholera epidemic.
The researcher concluded his study by concluding with the most important findings
