This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a counseling program based on Adler's theory of developing social responsibility and self-esteem among a sample of addicts at the Arjan Center for Addiction Treatment in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the semi-experimental approach was adopted to reach the objectives of the study, and the researcher developed measures for the development of social responsibility and self-esteem, and the study sample was selected by a random sample method, which consisted of (30) individuals from the addicted individuals in the Arjan Center for Addiction Treatment. Statistical methods using the SPSS statistical package were used to test the hypotheses of the study, and one of the results of the study was that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental and control groups in the dimensional measurement on the self-esteem scale attributed to the counseling program based on Adler's theory, as well as the existence of statistically significant differences between the average performance of the experimental group members and the average performance of the control group in developing social responsibility among drug addicts attributed to a counseling program based on Adler's theory on the total score On the areas (responsibility towards self, responsibility towards family, responsibility towards friends and colleagues, responsibility towards the city or village in which I live, national responsibility), and it was found that there were no statistically significant differences between the average performance of the experimental group members in the development of social responsibility and also in the self-esteem of drug addicts in the dimensional measurement and follow-up on all areas and on the overall degree.
