استيلاء روسيا على بورت آرثر، وأثر ذلک على نشاطاتها في الخليج العربي ( 1898 – 1907م )

            This research revolves around the British policy in dealing with the Russian activities in the Arabian Gulf from the time when Russia annexed Port Arthur harbour in the Far- East in 1898 until St. Petersburg Compromise between the British government and the Russian one in 1907. This research focuses on two major historical bases; the war policy and the international balance policy through the British diplomatic opposition to the Russian annexation of Port Arthur. This would materialize in the British and Japanese alliance in 1902 and the British and French friendly agreement in 1904. The British opposition to Russia the major cause of which was the Russian annexation of Port Arthur rose more in the case of the Arabian Gulf than in any other place.
           Based on this, this research is divided into two sections. The first section is a geographical identification of Port Arthur and how the Russians annexed it. The second section handles the repercussions of the Russian annexation of Port Arthur when it comes into dealing with its rule in the Arabian Gulf.
