The study of the conjunction has favorably received the attention of grammarians, who have instituted its rules on the levels of terms and sentences alike. The conjunction is one of the linguistic phenomena that goes beyond the sentence structure to affect the whole text. The conjunction can bind terms and sentences that altogether form a text. The conjunction is also one of the linguistic means that can help elongate the sentence structure, thus turning it into a complex sentence, which almost always engenders metaphors and portraits we find in the Quran, the yarns of which are mostly woven by conjunctions themselves.
This study attempts to explore the connections existing between the interconnected elements of text by taking a chapter from the Quran, "Surah Hood," as a case of study.
