This paper aims to study one of the pragmatic techniques which is pragmatic argumentation. This study gets more important when combined with the philosopher and Middle Eastern thinker, Jamal Al-Afghani, through his political messages written in Persian. This study is based on pragmatic approach, as it is the most appropriate approach for this type of studies. This paper comes to reveal the concept, types and techniques of argumentation in the Persian political messages. The paper concluded that many of the results, including that Al-Afghani argumentation is abstract and aims to guide, Al-Afghani is making evidence and arguments based on the case imitating the way people of proof. In his letters, Al-Afghani acts according to Aristotelian principles, these in addition to many other results
