This study aimed at determining the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on organizational response towards environment. To address this objective, a cross-sectional survey employing a questionnaire method of data collection was adopted. Employees with titles of (General Director, Deputy-General Director, Manager, and Head of Department) in the Jordanian private hospitals were targeted by this study. Using the convenience sample, a total of 104 usable responses were received representing a response rate of 65%. For the purpose of data analysis, the research utilized descriptive and advanced statistics using multiple regression analysis. The following findings were revealed from the data analysis:
The commitment of Jordanian private hospitals to CSR towards (owners, employees, competitors, and society) impacts positively on organizational response towards environment
The commitment of Jordanian private hospitals to CSR towards (customers and suppliers) does not have a significant impact on organizational response towards environment
The study raised some recommendations for managers and consultants such as: increasing the awareness of owners and managers in the Jordanian private hospitals about the importance and role of CSR as a basic variable that contributes to meeting the organizational response toward environment and incorporating the CSR into the hospital strategy because it reflects on organizational reputation and financial performance.
