The reproductive health is considered one of the most important priorities in the world because it affects the health of man from birth until death. In addition to that, it is considered one of the human development indices which care for individuals physically and psychologically considering their social and economic level.
In this paper, the real situation of reproductive health in Iraq and the means for developing it depending upon the school curriculums is considered. This work took into account several related indices, such as; infant mortality, incomplete-weight births, and the birth in health institutions. The data were drawn from the statistical posts of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the annual reports of the Iraqi Ministry of Health. Many results were concluded in this paper, among them is that Iraq still suffers from obvious deterioration in the level of reproductive health in comparison to other countries like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Jordon. In addition to that, it become clear that the governorates in the north of Iraq province was the worst with respect to infant mortality and incomplete-weight births, in spite of the fact that they had better reproductive health services in comparison to the middle and south state. This could be related to the lack of health awareness among the people of the community which in turn will prevent form ideal beneficiation of the provided services in the health facilities. Therefore, the addition of reproductive health curriculum to the school curriculums is considered one of the fastest and most successful Ways for health development in the society, especially, if it workes together with the various media facilities.
