The study aimed to identify the issue of professional standards in the coverage of the Syrian crisis by news websites from the point of view of media professors. The study relied on the survey method. The study sample consisted of (190) individuals from media professors in Iraqi universities, The study used a questionnaire as a tool for collecting data for the study. The study reached a set of results, the most prominent of which are: Adherence to professional standards in dealing with topics related to the Syrian crisis is considered a matter of utmost importance to achieve objectivity and integrity in media coverage, To achieve this, news websites must present multiple perspectives representing the various parties involved in the conflict, whether government, opposition, or community, while maintaining a balance in presenting information from each side.
