This research explores the rhetoric of horror fiction in contemporary Arabic novels by analyzing five selected literary works. The study focuses on the narrative use of horror elements—such as jinn, demons, magic, mythology, and speculative fiction—to evoke psychological, existential, and environmental fear. These elements are examined not merely as literary tropes, but as philosophical and symbolic tools that reveal human fragility in the face of the unknown. The findings suggest that Arabic horror fiction goes beyond entertainment, engaging with deeper themes related to the sacred, the uncanny, and modern anxieties.
