Amidst the rapid technological advancements, we are currently witnessing the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Researchers closely monitor the achievements of artificial intelligence (AI) with a mix of concern and anticipation. They recognize that while AI is a creation of humans, there may come a day when it surpasses human control—a prospect that worries many researchers, especially those in related fields. Despite the significant gains and promising future applications of AI in serving humanity, there remain fears and doubts about the potential risks associated with its use. We are still in the early stages, and AI applications have not yet permeated all fields, particularly in our Arab world. Its ongoing progress may lead to unforeseen consequences.
AI extends its reach even into domains that were traditionally resistant due to the rebellious nature of their material, which defies mathematical logic and algorithms. However, the uncertainty surrounding AI’s success in various fields persists. The question arises: Will AI falter in certain areas, or will it prevail?
One critical area of concern is creative expression across literary genres and visual arts. The impact of AI software on these realms is a topic that both creators and literary critics find intriguing. This research sheds light on the fate of literature, especially within the broader context of technology’s obsession. As digital literature vies for space alongside traditional literary forms, it sustains itself, as we shall witness, through the works of human authors.
Gradually, it inches toward challenging the throne of established literary norms that have accompanied humanity throughout its extensive history. It serves as an authentic mirror reflecting the joys and sorrows of human existence, pulsating with human vitality rather than mechanical rigidity. This expansive exploration will delve into the interplay between human literature and digital literary endeavors, safeguarding the essence of human creativity against potential threats and technological dominance.
