The study deals with fisheries and their trade as one of the main sources of the Andalusian economy. Emphasis was placed on the periods of the emirate and then the Umayyad Caliphate (138-422 AH / 756-1031 AD) as they were periods of comprehensive economic flowering for the Islamic state in Andalusia.
The study works on highlighting the role of Andalusian trade and the increase of fish wealth and its contributions to the Andalusian economy. And studying the multiple economic impacts resulting from the fish trade in Andalusia, as well as shedding light on the important role of ports in reviving maritime trade in Andalusia and the prosperity of fish wealth and its trade in Andalusia.
Objectives of the study:
To highlight the role of the geographical location of Andalusia and its role in increasing the fish wealth.
Discovering the types of fish in Andalusia resulting from the multiplicity of seas, rivers and lakes therein and its differences according to its genders and the place and time in which it is formed, whether it is marine, river or lake fish, which contributed to the diversity of fish trade in Andalusia.
Studying the flourishing of fisheries and their trade in Andalusia as it is one of the main sources of the Andalusian economy.
Studying the multiple economic impacts resulting from the fish trade in Andalusia.
Shedding light on the important role of ports in reviving maritime trade in Andalusia.
Studying the role of the Umayyad Emirate and Caliphate in Andalusia in stimulating trade exchange operations in the field of fisheries.
Shedding light on the Andalusian means and techniques for preserving fish during transport and trade in it.

The axes of this study revolve around the following points: - Smoothing. First: the geographical location and its role in increasing fisheries. Second: Types of fish in Andalusia. Third: The role of ports and coasts in revitalizing fish trade. Fourth: The development of maritime navigation methods and techniques. Fifthly: techniques of fishing methods.
