Art in the Great Kingdom of Gandharais known for its clear classical elements, because of direct contact with the Greeks and Romans. The classical gods were brought by trade between the countries of the Mediterranean and ancient India, after the entry of Alexander in 326 BC, when the Kushans conquered the area of Gandhara (1- 280 AD). They revitalized this culture and brought artists from all over the Roman Empire to carry out this boom in art throughout the kingdom In addition, Buddhism established an official religion for the Kushanskingdom. The Buddhist art reached maturity during their reign, and they adopted the spread of Hellenistic culture and art In the kingdom, during the reign of King Kanishka, the founder of the Second Kushan dynasty, and patron of the spread of Buddhist culture, the effects of this great boom in art appeared A hybrid art of classical art themes with mixed artistic features between the Indian local and imported classics, the goddess Athena is the most prominent example of this new art school. It is a clear example of the diagnosis of the city of Gandhara carrying in her statues the distinctive confusion that made classical art a global art.
