The current study aimed at investigating psychological stress and parental skills and its Relationship to level of ambition and academic achievement among the undergraduates. The descriptive correlational method was utilized. Basic sample of this study consisted of (200) male and female students within faculties of education and human studies for boys and girls located in Cairo. They were between (18 - 23) years of age. This study was conducted within Al-Azhar University during the first semester of the academic year 2019/2010. For collecting data, Psychological Stress Scale (Sayed&Samra. 2013), Parental Skills Scale (Prepared by the researcher), and Level of Ambition Scale (Abu-NAhia, 2013) were utilized. Results showed that there was a statistically significant negative relationship between psychological stress and both variables of level of ambition and academic achievement. There were a statistically significant positive relationship between parental skills and level of ambition and academic achievement. There were statistically significant differences (a= 0.05 , 0.01) in psychological stress, level of ambition and academic achievement attributed to gender, parental skills, residence, major and grade.
