The Cairo-Alexandria agricultural road is one of the most important axes linking the country’s capital with the governorates, centers, cities, and of Nile Delta, Accidents are one of the most obstacles in the villages development of the modern transport system. The research aims to study the development of the accidents ,and its geographical distribution of the road ,and study the geographical factors that cause traffic accidents ,and the types of vehicles causing accidents, and study the human and economic losses resulting from Traffic accidents.
Finally , some of the main results of the research:-
1-The accidents of The Cairo-Alexandria agricultural road decreased by 76 % during 2000 to 2023 .
2-The vehicles are responsible for 40% of all accidents in both sectors of road.
3- The study found that Cairo-Alexandria agricultural road is one of the most dangerous highways in Egypt, because it contributed 28% of the total number of accidents on highways in Egypt.
4- Analysis of satellite images shows126 intersections on the Cairo-Alexandria road The spread of these intersections was one of the major causes of accidents .
5-Accidents of The Cairo-Alexandria agricultural road resulted 142 injured , and 85 deceased. The economic costs of The Cairo-Alexandria agricultural road accidents amounted to 351 LE million.
