The research entitled (The Battle of Dandanaqan in the Writings of the Orientalist Claude Cahen) deals with the events of the Battle of Dandanaqan from the point of view of the French Orientalist Claude Cahen, as this Orientalist is considered one of the most prominent Orientalists who dealt with the Seljuk era. He was familiar with all the affairs of this state from the political, military, economic and social aspects and the developments that the Seljuk state led to later in these matters, as it imposed its control over all the entrances to the countries of the East, and how the Seljuk state became after this battle an important state with its own independent entity, as the Battle of Dandanaqan paved the way for the continuation of Seljuk rule in large areas of Persia and Asia Minor (Anatolia). In addition to that, it was the beginning of political and military dominance over many strategic places, which contributed to shaping regional policies in the Middle Ages.
