Abstract: The study aimed to identify the role of digital media in raising awareness of the spread of crime from the point of view of faculty members in Jordanian universities. The study followed the descriptive survey analytical approach using the social survey method and the questionnaire was a tool for collecting data. The study sample consisted of (500) faculty members in Jordanian universities. The study concluded with a set of results, the most important of which are: the most used application among the study sample members from the faculty members in Jordanian universities is the "Facebook" application, which came in first place with the highest percentage of (40%), and that the users of digital media platforms in following news related to crime from the study sample members from the faculty members in Jordanian universities came in the highest percentage of (80%), and that the general average of the role of digital media in raising awareness to reduce the spread of crime reached (2.44) with a high degree, and that the general average of the challenges facing digital media in raising awareness in reducing the spread of crime reached (2.33) and to a medium degree, and the study recommended: that the concerned law enforcement authorities allow the flow of information related to crimes to the public so that the public can know the circumstances and causes of the crime to be an awareness not to commit the crime,
