The research is entitled by " Linguistic Techniques for Explaining Lexical Semantics in "the Historical Lexicon of the Arabic Language" Study & Analysis: The Letter of Hamzah "al-Hamzah"as an Example" seeks to identify the mechanisms of the lexical content and its characteristics; according to a model that determines the words (the letter al-Hamzah) in the notation of this lexicon, in order to show the procedural linguistic dimensions, on which the lexicon and its content were based.
The research begins with the importance of the historical lexicon and its scientific and cognitive value as a model of heritage and encyclopedic knowledge. As for the linguistic procedures for explaining the lexical connotation, they included explaining by definition in terms of structure, syntax, terminology, context, and logical definition.
The research concluded that there are several techniques for explaining the lexical connotation in the Historical Lexicon of the Arabic Language and its linguistic uniqueness in general, whether it is associated with the mechanisms of presenting the linguistic content or the approach followed in organizing these linguistic materials in each root separately, to achieve the lexicon's aim to facilitate and fulfill the information.
