Many movements have emerged in European countries that appeal to a specific goal. The Pegida movement appealed to several goals whose goal was to limit and reduce religious principles and beliefs, under the pretext that religion carries principles that can affect the German people and even affect the European peoples as a whole. The Pegida march began in Germany, carrying the extremist right-wing ideology that rejects and fights against Muslims and rejects Islam’s asylum in the West, and it mobilized a group of demonstrators through social media sites with the aim of bringing the issue to the German government and political parties. The main problem of the Pegida movement was its influence on society, the declaration of political discourse hostile to European Muslims, and an attempt to escalate the extreme right in all European countries. It relied on political and social analysis to ensure reaching its goals and objectives to ensure the achievement of the methodology of its plan. The media contributed and even played a major role to the success of this movement by relying on collecting statistics from the masses who support this movement and considering it a national issue that concerns the European peoples. Consequently, the movement came to carry the same ideas as right-wing populism opposing Muslim refugees to the West
