This research addressed a new type of narration, refer to as rhythmic narration, which is based on tracing events in a musical rhythmic way. Hence, the research aimed to demonstrate the meaning of rhythmic narration, explain its aesthetic elements implied in texts in general, explore the aesthetic features of rhythmic narration in the journey of IbnKhaldoun in accordance with the elements of rhythm represented by balance, parallelism and end-rhyme, and demonstrate the impact of those musical forms on narrating events from the one hand and showing the features of discourse beauty from the other hand.
The research used the analytical descriptive approach by observing the phenomenon, represented by rhythmic narration and its elements and applying the phenomenon to texts taken from the journey of IbnKhaldoun, and concluding the results based on that.
The research consisted of two parts. The first part was dedicated to address the concept of rhythmic duration, whereas the second part explored the manifestations of rhythmic narration in the journey of IbnKhaldoun, as an applied section that consisted of three main domains: balance, parallelism and end-rhyme.
The results showed that IbnKhaldoun's increased interest in the rhythmic elements, particularly the external one, such as balance, and end-rhyme, and the existence of parallelismas an internal rhythm element, in addition to the consecutive balances and end-rhyme were devoted to intensifying the musical value in the text.
