Obstacles to marital compatibility from the point of view of a sample of married couples in Kuwaiti society in light of some demographic variables

Abstract

The aim of the researchers through this study is to identify the obstacles to marital compatibility in light of some variables such as gender, educational level, and age. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical method was used by using a questionnaire tool to collect data, which included five obstacles to marital compatibility, which are (family obstacles, obstacles Economic obstacles, emotional obstacles, cultural obstacles, and personal obstacles) In order to reach the study sample, a random sampling method was used, and the sample consisted of 542 married men and women in Kuwaiti society. The study concluded that economic obstacles came in first place, followed by family obstacles, and both of them came in at a high degree. It also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the sample’s view of the obstacles to marital harmony is due to the variables of age and educational level.
