This research paper discusses The exception style by using the conjunction “except” in translation of Surat An-Nisa into Persian - by conducting a comparative study among selected translations. It aims to investigate the difference between exception in Arabic and Persian, and the translation of exception in Holy Qor'an (especially Surat An-Nisa). The paper follows a descriptive approach. So, it views the verse interpretation and its translations to analyze and compare them.
It is composed of an introduction, The first chapter: “The Theoretical Study” ,The second chapter: “The Practical Study”, Finally, the paper ends with the conclusion, which includes the most important findings, followed by the works cited.
The research concludes that exception in Arabic is an integrated style that has multiple types and cases (especially in Holy Qor'an), However, in Persian, it is notconsiderd a style, it is expressed using some tools that perform the meaning of exception. The most used Persian toole, which perform the meaning of exception is (magar-magar in keh – magar keh)
