Our research entitled "The certainty of knowledge inGreek philosophy" is a study of the possibilities, limits, and means of knowledge in limited period of Greek philosophy since Thales to Aristotle . the doctrines and approaches of these philosophers differed for this purpose . but they all agreed to seek for certainty ,and they all believed that the sense is the first step of the knowledge until it was seemed that the mind can not work without the senses . without the data of the sense , mind can not analyze and, remember nor……it is just as safety valve , this undermining of the mind, which doubted the philosophers of the possibility both of reason and sense ,so that some philosophers resorted to spiritual strength or sense of conscience to lead to certainty . the research philosophical with the Greek philosophers went towards nature in the first era and called natural philosophers .the reason for impression of philosophy before Socrates in the name of natural philosophy is that knowledge was closely related to
