The British navy forces joined the First World War in 1914, they have executed Serveal naval operations in order to maintain its territories and confirm dominate seas areas in the World which continued throughout the nineteenth century. The naval operations on the coast of Chile in 1914 was one of the significant operations had been executed by the British Navy during the war against Germany. The operations started by the British naval intelligence to gather information regarding Chile coast using warcrafts, then coronel battle took place on the first day of November 1914 nearby Santa Maria Island on the coast of Chile between the British cruisers and German cruisers to resolve the Anglo-German arms race and the rising German naval force in the nineteenth century. The target of this study is to recognize the operations of the British navy forces on the Chilean coast during the First World War and realize the British navy losses and the issues they faced throughout these operations.
