Abstract
The current study aimed to identify the level of stress coping methods and their relationship to self-compassion. To achieve the study objectives, two scales were developed: the Stress Coping Methods Scale and the Self-Compassion Scale. Their psychometric properties were verified for validity and reliability. The study was applied electronically to a sample of health sector workers in Karak Governorate, numbering (456) doctors, nurses and technicians of both sexes. The results of the study indicated an average level of stress coping methods and self-compassion, and that there is a statistically significant correlation between stress coping methods and self-compassion on the total score and dimensions. The results also showed that stress coping methods were better for females. e current study aimed to identify the level of stress coping methods and their relationship to self-compassion.
