This research aims to clarify the truth of the original rule of permissibility, highlight its concept, present evidence of its legality, explain the most prominent terms related to it, and define its controls, and that the principle in things not stipulated is permissibility unless there is evidence of prohibition, and highlight its effect on foods and drinks, and show the mercy of Islamic legislation through Staying silent about things is a blessing to the nation without forgetting. The nature of this study required that it consist of an introduction and three demands. The first requirement came to clarify the overall meaning of the rule and the words related to it. The second requirement included highlighting the evidence of the rule’s legitimacy. In the third requirement, the effect of the rule was applied in Foods and drinks, by explaining and demonstrating the ruling on foods and drinks, and explaining the ruling on wild animals and the ruling on imported meat.
