Objectives: This study dealt with a fundamental rule related to precaution, which is “taking precaution in the matter of what is forbidden is a duty.” The study aims to explain the truth of the rule, explain the evidence on which the rule is based, explain the controls that require taking precaution in the matter of what is forbidden, and highlight the role and impact of the rule in contemporary applications.
Methods: In studying this research, I adopted the descriptive analytical method based on induction, where I collected scientific material, classified it, and analyzed it according to the principles of scientific research. In the end, to reach appropriate solutions that are consistent with the requirements of our time, and do not violate the principles of our tolerant Sharia.
Results: The study reached a number of results, the most prominent of which is that it shows that the truth of the rule is that a Muslim must be careful with his religion and not do anything that is forbidden or suspected of being forbidden. Because the sanctity is based on precaution, and it has become clear that the rule “is based on a number of evidences from the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and consensus, and it has been shown that the rule has four conditions that are necessary for its implementation, and the effect of the rule has become clear in a number of contemporary applications.
Conclusion: Highlighting the theoretical aspect in the contemporary applied aspect in a number of contemporary applications
