Social media has become one of the most important formalities of effective communication and one of the most important keys to development and progress in contemporary society, because of its human activity and has not brought about a massive revolution in various life contexts, causing an impact in the ways of living, communication, and the acquisition of knowledge, and in the organization of work fields. And the production and reproduction of cultural fields that cross all geographic and political boundaries. The social networks that we can include in "Facebook - Twitter and YouTube" have become one of the facets of the power of nations and they attend as they are able to translate human hopes and aspirations into reality. This advanced technology was able to achieve some human dreams and gave birth to the rules of a globalized electronic culture that overcame the challenges and difficulties of timing. The study started from a major question leading to an interest in the role of social networks in the Egyptian society in general and the university youth class in particular.
The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach, in addition to using the questionnaire form to verify the goals of the study. It was divided into two parts, the first part, which depends on demographic data, and the second came in line with the study questions until it meets them. This study also used the SPSS statistical program to empty the data and process it Statistically to extract. As for the study sample, it was applied to that applied to 300 male and female students from Fayoum University distributed among five theoretical colleges and five practical colleges, distributed equally among each college in a random way between male and female students.
The most important results of the study are represented in the following that social change can be viewed by seeing the “inevitability” of the transformation in three tracks. First, what is known as "technical determinism", and second, what is known as "social determinism", then informational determinism. Also, they seek to earn symbolic capital through their engagement on social networks, and civil society initiatives can flourish in it .
