International conferences and agreements have always shed light on the seriousness of violence against women and called for it to be strongly confronted because of its negative effects on women in particular and society in general, and if we are in the face of a carcinogenic societal culture approaching with the taboos of popular culture then we are in a fierce war the phenomenon of marital silence that expresses in another way From emotional divorce as one of the harshest forms of violence against Egyptian girls and women, as reflected by the quality of their attitudes towards this violence, as violence from the husband to his wife has become a widespread phenomenon in society, in addition to this violence being accompanied by silence about the extent of abuse with the persistence of the practitioner Violence in the absence of his violence with impunity. The study started from a major question: What are the causes of marital silence, which has become a societal phenomenon, and how does this phenomenon affect women and their marital roles.
he field study was conducted in Fayoum Governorate on a selected sample that included the countryside and attended the Fayoum Governorate, and it was taken into account that the sample includes all nine centers in Fayoum Governorate in its countryside and attended. The field study was conducted from April 2018 to August 2018 and the most important results of the study were through some answers from sterile interviews during the research period that one of the other aspects of marital silence is the increase in rates of violence in the family and this violence may represent women, physical and psychological violence. Violence also appeared in physical violence, "beating", while psychological violence was represented in expressive violence, such as insults, wounding, and humiliation.
